About
Ezio Filho is a bassist, music producer and audio engineer. His career began in 1986 and spans three studio generations: EG Studio, Audiolume — the audiovisual production company behind scores for TV, film and advertising, audiobooks and archive restoration — and, today, Toca do Coelho, a home studio in Rio de Janeiro where he runs pre-production, arranging, editing, mixing and mastering.
On stage, he has accumulated 35 years alongside Zélia Duncan — music director since 1994, producer of three DVDs, one Latin Grammy-nominated — plus shows and recordings with Djavan, Leila Pinheiro, Simone, Leo Gandelman and Conrado. He recorded two CDs at the Montreal Jazz Festival (1992 and 1996) and performed at ECO 92.
Behind the console: 569 ISRC-registered phonograms cleared with UBC, 49 scores for TV and audiovisual, vinyl mastering in partnership with Bolachão Discos, and studio design projects — the most recent for Som Livre. He was audio consultant for the Instituto Moreira Salles (2010–2012) and authored the Recording, Mixing and Mastering Techniques course in IATEC's Music Production module, where he still teaches.
Projects are run with TocaDoCoelho, his own studio management system — from budget to delivery, with client tracking through a portal.
